There has been made a buildingSMART implementers agreement for how IFC can be used for such purpose.

DDS expands to Latvian market

After DDS-CAD’s successful introduction to Lithuania in 2012, DDS continues its international expansion and introduced its flagship product to the neighbouring Latvian market.

Consultants and project engineers from over twenty different companies attended the official introduction of DDS-CAD in Riga on 21 March.

Data Design System at Light + Building 2012

Get to know DDS-CAD live at the Light + Building event and learn more about the upcoming version 8! From 15 to 20 April 2012 DDS will be attending the leading exhibition Light + Building in Frankfurt together with our partners GMC-I and MEBEDO. DDS' stand is located in Hall 8.0, number B77/71. Stand visitors have the possibility to have an individual on-screen demonstration of DDS-CAD 8. Furthermore, DDS will be hosting a daily raffle giving away prizes worth a total of € 50.000,00 to its stand visitors!

Open BIM Program Started

For seamless workflows in the construction industry - some of the largest and most important international software providers of CAD solutions have launched a strategic cooperation. The initiative’s aim is to support the open standard “Open BIM” in the design of AEC projects. The start of this formed a joint press release.

DDS user wins BIM of the Year price in the Netherlands

Veccins3D, profound user of DDS-CAD for more than five years, has recently won the “BIM of the year competition”, an annual event organized by TNO and Bouwend Nederland. The jury decided unanimously to crown the project ‘Deventrade’ submitted by Veccins3D as ‘The BIM model of 2011’. Bauke de Vries, chairman of the jury, said: “Veccins3D has a clear vision in which the process of cooperating is paramount. The efficiency with which Veccins3D is working with BIM is commendable”. Furthermore, the jury admired the close relationship between Data Design System, developer of DDS-CAD, and its user, Veccins3D. Press release here
