The results after the first quarter
of 2013 shows that DDS continues to grow and increase their market shares. The paradigm shift from producing drawings towards working with Building Information Models (Open BIM) with
integrated calculations and capability to interdisciplinary coordination and sharing of information using buildingSMART standards, really seems to be gaining momentum.

DDS expands to Latvian market
After DDS-CAD’s successful
introduction to Lithuania in 2012, DDS continues its international expansion and introduced its flagship product to the neighbouring Latvian market.
Consultants and project engineers from over twenty different companies attended the official introduction of DDS-CAD in Riga on 21 March.
DDS is expanding its activities in the rapidly growing Latin American market. The growing interest in building information modelling (BIM) is a natural effect of increased demand for
more quality, efficiency and coordination in the growing Brazilian construction industry. DDS has recently opened its support and competence centre in São Paulo.
DDS continues to grow and that is why we are looking for new engineers, technicians, software developers and graduated students (Mechanical and electrical) to join our team! The

DDS-CAD 8 now available!
DDS-CAD 8 offers many new
functions and inter-faces, enhanced ease of use and more flexibility. The default databases have been supplemented with intelligent components, macros, libraries and a number of new
reports.

DDS-CAD PV 8 at Intersolar
Integrated PV project planning is
the main topic at Data Design System’s stand in Hall B2 number 280 during Intersolar 2012. At our stand we will present our new version DDS-CAD 8; the new stage
of development of DDS-CAD PV software, which will be released soon. The software provides the user features for project planning, design, visualization, yield estimations and
documentation.
The software is not only limited to designing PV systems, but also enables further planning of electrical installations. The software allows the user to define circuits, switchboards,

DDS user wins BIM of the Year price in the Netherlands
Veccins3D, profound user of DDS-CAD for more than five years, has recently won the “BIM of the year competition”, an annual event organized by TNO and Bouwend Nederland.
The jury decided unanimously to crown the project ‘Deventrade’ submitted by Veccins3D as ‘The BIM model of 2011’. Bauke de Vries, chairman of the jury, said:
“Veccins3D has a clear vision in which the process of cooperating is paramount. The efficiency with which Veccins3D is working with BIM is commendable”. Furthermore, the jury
admired the close relationship between Data Design System, developer of DDS-CAD, and its user, Veccins3D. Press release here
New version of DDS-CAD Viewer
A new version of DDS-CAD Viewer available. The viewer is the fist implemenation in the world with possibility save BIM information to the new simplified IfcXML
format. The viewer also contains an integrated clash detection, support OpenBCF amongst other exiting new features. The viewer can be downloaded and used free of charge
