Bjørn K Stangeland (CEO)
Bjørn K Stangeland has been with
Data Design System (DDS) since the company was founded in 1984. His diploma work from the University in Stavanger was a 3D kitchen planning tool that became one of the first commercial
products of DDS. During his career in DDS, Bjørn K Stangeland has had a number of positions including software developer, product manager, CTO and now CEO since May 2000. Bjørn K
Stangeland has been working with BIM (Building Information Modeling) concepts for more than 25 years, perseving the vision of offering the building industry true interoperable,
multidisciplinary and cost-efficient solutions. Bjørn K Stangeland has been an active participant in the Norwegian buildingSMART chapter, where he has served as a member of the board
since 2003. He has also been one of the key persons behind the creation of concepts like IDM (Information Delivery Manual) and buildingSMART Aquariums. Bjørn K Stangeland has been a
member of the Executive Management Team of buildingSMART International since November 2007 until present.
Nils Kverneland (Geschäftsführer DDS GmbH)
Nils Kverneland has been with Data
Design System (DDS) since the company was founded in 1984. Actually he was involved in the development of the DDS concept back when it was a project in the Block Watne group that lead up
to the creation of DDS as a company. Nils Kverneland was the first CTO of DDS, and move on to take the position as marketing and export manager in the DDS group. Nils Kverneland has
played a key role in building the daughter company DDS GmbH from the ground up to become the success that it is today. Nils Kverneland is also active in buildingSMART and serves as a
board member of the German Speaking Chapter.
Svein Inge Nærheim (Managing Director of DDS Building Innovation)
Dr Svein Inge Nærheim has been
with DDS since 1986. He has his PhD from the NTNU university in Trondheim, Norway. Svein Inge Nærheim the the father of the DDS -CAD Timber Frame concepts, and is today probably one of
the world leading experts in industrialized production of timber elements and pre-fab.
